Hello Neighbor review
Hello Neighbor is a horror survival game about one boy who decided to get into the house of a suspicious neighbor. The game was created by Dynamic Pixels and released by tinyBuild. It is available on versatile platforms, including Android mobile.
The Story Behind the Hello Neighbor
The plot of this game is definitely one of its gems. Hello Neighbor reveals a story of a curious boy Nicky who can’t ignore the weirdness of his neighbor, and suspects he holds someone in a basement. This is why Nicky breaks into the house. The game has three acts. The first one is free of charge and is usually considered as a demo of the game. In this act, the boy has to get into the house, find the keys to the basement, and get into.
The next two acts help you to find out more about the Neighbor and his family. During the second act, Nicky escapes the basement and finds memorable items that tell the story of this family. In the third act, Nicky goes back to the old house after many years. There he must stand against his past, find out the reason for his nightmares, and finish the story for good in the last final battle.
Simplicity and Brightness of the Picture
Despite being bright and colorful, graphics are simple. However, it is common for many horror games, which have one main goal, which is to scare players. This time you will not get scared right away. The whole street with totally normal houses looks ordinary. Even Neighbor does not have anything extremely suspicious in him, no wonder that only Nicky sees it. You don’t feel scared entering the enemy’s house, as it looks totally average and even bright. This is even scarier because you don’t expect anything bad to happen.
How Hard is to Play Hello Neighbor
The neighbor is navigated by smart AI, who can hear every step, and very likely foresees all your next actions. Glitches that occur from time to time while you are trying to move around to check suspicious moves behind you, do not help at all. One second and you freeze, and another Neighbor has already caught you. If you want to win the game, you have to outsmart AI and learn how to move without making any noise.
