The cherished 1997 3D adventure game Croc: Legend of the Gobbos is receiving an updated version for PC and various gaming systems, thanks to the rejuvenation of the game's original creators, Argonaut Games.

Jez San started Argonaut in 1982, which gained fame through the release of notable titles such as Starglider and Birds of Prey and through their collaboration with Nintendo. This partnership brought to life the iconic 1993 space adventure Star Fox. A further collaboration in 1994 produced Stunt Race FX. The studio continued to develop games for over a decade until financial issues led to its shutdown in 2004, with some of its talent transitioning to the team behind the Batman Arkham series at Rocksteady Studios.

Two decades after its closure, Argonaut Games is making a surprising comeback as a specialized publishing house under the leadership of Gary Sheinwald and Mike Arkin as co-CEOs. Although Jez San is not directly involved in the company's resurrection, he offers his endorsement in a press statement, expressing his enthusiasm for the company's tradition of innovation to continue under the new Argonaut Games, starting with the eagerly awaited refurbishment of Croc: Legend of the Gobbos.
