In June, the popular game Elden Ring emerged as the top-selling title in the United States, according to a tweet from Circana analyst Mat Piscatella. Developed by FromSoftware and Bandai Namco, this expansive action RPG saw a remarkable surge in sales, making its way to the forefront of gaming charts after ranking at No. 8 in the previous month. The uptick in popularity can largely be attributed to the release of its expansion, Shadow of the Eritrea.

This marks the first occasion since its initial launch in May 2022 that Elden Ring has clinched the top position in the US software market. In the meantime, Helldivers 2 continues to hold its ground as the highest-selling game of the year thus far, followed closely by Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Additionally, Kingdom Hearts: Integrum Masterpiece witnessed a significant boost in sales after its July launch on Steam. It jumped from No. 399 in June to an impressive No. 3 in the subsequent month. New entries such as Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance and Luigi's Mansion 2 HD debuted at No. 4 and No. 8, respectively. Moreover, The Elder Scrolls Online experienced a resurgence, moving up to No. 18 from No. 198 in June following the release of its Gold Road expansion.

On the hardware side, the PS5 maintained its status as the best-selling console in the US for the month, both in terms of units sold and revenue generated. The Nintendo Switch ranked second in terms of unit sales, whereas the Xbox Series X/S claimed the runner-up position in revenue sales.
