Apple Boosts Brand Visibility with Updated Business Connect
2024-10-17
Apple has updated its Business Connect service to improve how businesses disseminate their information across its platforms. This tool lets both individuals and organizations curate their brand presence within Apple's ecosystem, regardless of having a physical storefront. New features now allow companies to showcase their branding in Apple Wallet, Mail, and Maps, enhancing customer interaction. Apple also plans to reduce spam calls by showing verified brand information during calls.
Enhancements to Apple Business Connect now ensure that businesses are recognizable in the Mail and Phone apps. Customers interacting with verified brands will see the company's name and logo within these applications. Businesses interested in the Branded Mail feature must register via the Business Connect platform, with Apple set to display the company logos in the upcoming months after verification.
Additionally, Apple introduced the Business Caller ID feature to add transparency to incoming calls, showing the caller's name, department, and company logo. This feature is slated for release next year. Third-party apps like Truecaller will also help highlight verified business information, aiding customers in identifying credible businesses.
Companies in multiple countries, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Taiwan, Ukraine, the UK, and the USA, will be able to display their logos when using the Tap to Pay on iPhone feature. This will replace the generic category icon on payment screens, providing more context during transactions.
To use these new features of Business Connect, companies need to sign in with their Apple ID. Importantly, Apple is not charging for these branding customizations, making them accessible to both brick-and-mortar and online businesses.
